UN's 17 World Goals for Sustainable Development is one of the most important agendas of recent history. Each area of focus touches on different issues that can help the planet and its people develop in more sustainable ways. From poverty to gender equalities, and responsible consumption, the agendas focus on rights, preventing the devestating abuse of nature and resources, and a democratic distribution of opportunities.
Now, goal no 4 is where we come in. This goal works towards "ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all". We stongly believe that the potential for growth in ALL countries lies within this goal. Afterall, it is people who control the businesses and institutions and governments. It is people's minds that form the structure and way things are handled.
Pedagogy is still a much overlooked aspect of education, and it is not specified in the World Goal, but it is indirectly on of the most important elements of the word quality. No fact can ever outshine THE WAY a fact is being taught, because this is what shapes the learning and the relationship that the mind has with set fact. Cultivating a creative and innovative mindset is a thinking process that is facilitated by pedagogy. We want to create awareness and focus on this aspect in order to ensure quality.
Along with no. 4, we indirectly support any goal which benefits from the creative, innovative and responsible mind as well
